My friend Graham came up to visit from Nottingham today and we had a fantastic time. It’s amazing how, no matter how old we get, when we’re together we always manage to revert back to the goofy, giggling, weirdos we were at college. The lego shop in Leeds was a particularly fun experience - who wants to be grown up when there’s lego around?!!

Well…..tonight was time to say goodbye to Monqui Moo. She leaves for her new life in Cornwall next week and, throughout the evening, lots of people arrived to say bon voyage and good luck. I promised her I wouldn’t cry (and I nearly kept that promise!) until it was my turn to say goodbye and head back to Leeds. Both of us bawling in a car park was not a pretty sight!! We know it’s not forever, we’ll defo be seeing each other again many times in the future but it’s hard to think that one of my best friends in the world is going to be so many miles away from me :( I love you so much Monqui Moo, enjoy your new job, make lots of new friends and don’t stop dreaming - sometimes they do come true! xxxxx

Due to our new found interest in walking in the dales, Steven and I took a trip to Nevisport in Leeds and found a totally unexpected bargain! A waterproof jacket and trousers (that are actually fitted and look good!) for £37..should have been £74! What’s more….the best bit…they fold up into little bags! (I dig stuff like that - I’m such a muppet!)

Today Steven and I drove up to Malham and spent 3½ hours walking/hiking in Malham Cove, Gordale Scar and Janets Foss - it was fantastic! It’s such a beautiful place and we really enjoyed the trek…..we’re planning on making walks, like these, a much more regular occurrence.

I had a lunchtime visit with my lovely work colleague and friend, Sally, today. The twins Arthur and Harry have both had their operations now and are growing up beautifully! It’s hard to believe they were so tiny and only weighed a few pounds each when they were born (2 months early) in December 2011. It was great to see them today :)

Today Steven and I came back to Ormskirk for the night and spent a lovely evening with Mo & Dave having a meal and a few drinks at The Hayfield. Then, afterwards, we had a rather respectable evening indoors drinking and chatting. Proof that all can be calm when I don’t have my alcoholic sisters to lead me astray lol!! Lots of rugby freebies were brought into work this afternoon. It was literally a ‘scrum’ to get what you could but I managed to secure a few Leeds Rhinos items for Joby & Liam and more than a few Wigan Warriors items for Baz!! Enjoy kids!
