Due to our new found interest in walking in the dales, Steven and I took a trip to Nevisport in Leeds and found a totally unexpected bargain! A waterproof jacket and trousers (that are actually fitted and look good!) for £37..should have been £74! What’s more….the best bit…they fold up into little bags! (I dig stuff like that - I’m such a muppet!)

Today Steven and I drove up to Malham and spent 3½ hours walking/hiking in Malham Cove, Gordale Scar and Janets Foss - it was fantastic! It’s such a beautiful place and we really enjoyed the trek…..we’re planning on making walks, like these, a much more regular occurrence.

In my house…..Friday nights…..are ‘Nashville’ nights!

I had a lunchtime visit with my lovely work colleague and friend, Sally, today. The twins Arthur and Harry have both had their operations now and are growing up beautifully! It’s hard to believe they were so tiny and only weighed a few pounds each when they were born (2 months early) in December 2011. It was great to see them today :)

Tonight I was clearing a bit of the garden when I found this. I can honestly say, I don’t think i’ve ever seen such a tall dandelion!

My newly sprouted pumpkins were treated to a bit of sunshine today!

Happy 6th Birthday to my beautiful babies Juno and Cobain!! With some certainty I can say that there are few cats in the world who have as good a life as these two and none (in my humble opinion) who are as loved and adored!
….the following quote sums up everything about our home;
“There are two means of refuge from the miseries of life: music and cats” - Albert Schweitzer

Today Steven and I came back to Ormskirk for the night and spent a lovely evening with Mo & Dave having a meal and a few drinks at The Hayfield. Then, afterwards, we had a rather respectable evening indoors drinking and chatting. Proof that all can be calm when I don’t have my alcoholic sisters to lead me astray lol!! You know who you are Marie and Vicky Howells!!

It’s 2 special feline birthdays this weekend. Some puddy cats in Leeds are in for some treats!

Sorry! Cobain again! How could I resist taking a picture of my gorgeous boy sunning himself in my neighbour’s plant pot!

Lots of rugby freebies were brought into work this afternoon. It was literally a ‘scrum’ to get what you could but I managed to secure a few Leeds Rhinos items for Joby & Liam and more than a few Wigan Warriors items for Baz!! Enjoy kids!

It’s all cats lately! This friendly little girl came to say hello as I was leaving the work’s car park this evening :)

Our friend Nick is on a Buddhist retreat for 3 months so we said we’d stop by his house each week to water the plants and check everything’s ok etc. I’d forgotten how much time, Colin, the cat next door, spends with him. As soon as we went inside Colin was crying at the door to come in. I think he misses his quality ‘batchelor time’ with Nick. Poor kid :(

….Even Cobain agrees that there’s nothing better on a Sunday morning than chillaxin’ on the sofa listening to a bit of Bob Dylan. Loving the weekend! :)
